  TIPS FOR SAFE DRIVING
   
 

• Always search for a good experienced Motor Training School and not motor training shop
• You are not driving vehicle while learning but the trainer is operating clutch and brakes
• After obtaining license please search for a good trainer for providing confidence
• Learn road signs and road markings
• Learn DSSSM rule
• Maintain good 2 second distance between front vehicle
• Maintain your vehicle
• Oils, filters change etc should be done as per the schedule
• Go through the operator’s book properly
• Learn 1-2-3 rule
• Avoid night driving
• 2 to 5 am and 2 to 5 pm – these hours are dangerous.
• Avoid too big for too small
• Too small to too big is dangerous
• Remember every second is important while driving
• Drinking and driving can lead to dangerous death
• Avoid mobile whilst driving
• 2 wheeler riders-always wear helmet
• Seat belt is for you and your family
• Nobody is perfect in driving
• Expect unexpected
• Attitude-skill-behavior plays major role
• Keep cool while driving
• Always follow traffic rules
• Stop before zebra crossings
• Follow pedestrian first rule

 
 
 
Be ready for any type of natural calamity
Expect Water logging, traffic jams, diversions, bad roads etc
Keep your mood cool
Anticipation level should be high
Expect unexpected
Remove water plugs from bottom side
Tyre skidding problem because of lesser traction with road
Rust problems
Breakdown of vehicle
Drive in -10 ie 10 KMPH lesser speed than your judged one

In heavy rains do not drive- keep your hazard flashers on after parking at safe place

VEHICLE CHECKS
Proper plastic covers for documents
All oil levels
Battery condition
Wiper set-rubber inserts-whether water is being cleaned properly
Brakes servicing, check for leakages
Water level in wind shield cleaner tank
Rust proof coating from bottom
Rims should be Rust free
All lights, indicators in working condition
Tyre condition, pressure
Rats, Snakes etc take rest under Bonnet. Use insect free sprays
Tools kit- apply oil to Jack, Tommy, Spanners etc
Emergency spares
Car drivers-keep one hammer handy for breaking glass in emergency
Apply oil at all locks
OTHER IMPORTANT TECHNIQUES
Keep your Glasses clean
Keep backside Indicator Frame clean, because mud splash make them dirty
Keep drinking water bottle
Keep some snacks, biscuits
Vehicle is allowed to enter in water till water level touches silencer
After getting out of the water, pumping of brakes till they are warm and effective
Keep Umbrella, Raincoat, Torch etc
Put on taillight after Twilight (poor visibility) condition
Instead of 2 seconds, keep 4 seconds distance between you and the front vehicle
A/C flow on windshield to avoid moisture on the glass
Use Defroster/Defogger of the front and rear glasses
Non A/C veh.- moisture should be cleaned from inside after stopping only
Pumping brake pedal on wet roads instead of applying once
Follow front vehicle tyres in water
Be away from two wheelers
